C: I think Remuda could help a lot more girls if they got rid of the Jesus aspect.
A: RR is not overly-zealous when it comes to spirituality, though yes, it is a part of their recovery programme. I went as a strict atheist, for example, and have known others who have different beliefs/no beliefs that went and got a LOT out of it.
C: You know I think they’re “tube happy.” Nowhere else do I see so many pretty normal-looking girls with NG tubes.
A: Here’s a question: What’s “normal-looking” to you? When it comes to the NG tube, I think I’ve told you that the reason RR does it more frequently is a) it is an “easier” method for weight restoration and b) studies have shown that it is more effective for weight restoration than Ensure Plus, Boost, CIBs, etc products.
Q: Does Remuda really spell “centre” [like that]? Because I believe it’s “center” with an “er.” This isn’t France. ;P
A: Yes, it’s spelled “center,” so you’re right. I, however, use English spellings. So yeah, hence the “re.” Haha.

My nightmare of anorexia–it was a walking death. Time froze for 17 years–then recovery began after my last 2 lengthy hospitalizations. Damage has been done–my teeth, bones and joints are wrecked, but the quality of my life has improved dramatically. I never want to be the self-obsessed and dying girl in these pictures again. I do still struggle, though. Every day I struggle with my visceral need to starve and exercise. Note: Video may be triggering, but it is not intended to be. I was not at my thinnest in thes pictures, but I was very ill–I was anemic, I had cardiac arrythmias, extremely low blood pressure, I passed out frequently, my electrolytes were out of whack, I had and have osteoporosis and osteo-arthritis, my GI tract was not working properly–just to name a few problems. Nothing fun about any of that, nothing sexy, nothing cool. My existence was nothing. I didn’t see anyone, didn’t do or contribute anything, I seldom went to church, was too weak to go to school or to work or even drive or run errands. Starvation will rob your body of the energy it needs to function.
